My
son, Rogan, received his Coast Guard 100-ton ocean operators
license in 2005, and he’s Randy Wayne White with his
son, Capt Rogan White. operating his own charter business.
His
boat is a gorgeous 2002, 20’6” ‘Low Tide’,

and he’s now booking fishing, shelling and sightseeing
charters in the Sanibel Island area.
Like
me, Rogan is a history buff, and he has become an expert
on Florida’s fauna and flora. One of his specialties
is taking clients to deserted islands, searching the best
beaches for shells, Capt Rogan White knows where to find
fish! and exploring the ancient shell mounds built by Florida’s
Calusa Indians, who were contemporaries of the Maya.
Rogan
is also a superb light tackle fisherman. He takes clients
into deep backcountry by kayak, or fishes the flats by boat.
For nearly thirteen years, I was a fulltime guide at Tarpon
Bay on Sanibel Island, and both my sons accompanied me on
charters from the time they were toddlers.
Rogan
